A really good tour! It was informative and we saw lots of dolphins. Our tour guide was amazing.

I had an amazing time on the 2-hour kayak tour with Shem Creek Nature Adventures. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the kayaks were in great condition. Paddling through Shem Creek was a delight, with stunning views and wildlife sightings, including dolphins. Our guide Ethan provided fascinating insights about the local ecosystem. Highly recommend this tour for a fun and educational outdoor experience! Will definitely be back!

Matt and Alex were great! Both very welcoming and knowledgeable and totally made our experience what it was! Great instructions if you are new to kayaking. The timing was terrific. Great location, as well, and close to many dining/drink options!

I was looking for a different venue to kayak that was reasonably close for a quick turn around on Labor Day weekend. With rain forecast.for the mountains I found Nature Adventures Outfitters online and booked the 3 hour tour on Wambaw Creek. I was a little apprehensive of going with a guild & group but it turned out to be a plus. John, our guild, is a semi retired teacher and volunteer for the Nat'l Parks & Forests so he was a wealth of knowledge on the plant & wild life and the history of the surrounding area. Classroom was never so much fun and John is a very humorous and personable person. John, Thank You for making this trip exceed my expectations. Also, the Creek is peaceful and an easy paddle, could of spent more time on the water. Really enjoyed the experience and will be back to explore more.

Friendly and accommodating staff go out of their way to make things work smoothly. Cool place, good equipment, fun guide - really enjoyed the morning kayak trip.

My husband and I were visiting Charleston and learned of this kayaking tour company. We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival that it was just us and our tour guide. We took the Charleston River 2 hour tour. I wish I could remember our tour guides name, he was wonderful!

My son and I took the 3 hour tour with Ben. We had an awesome time and enjoyed Ben's knowledge of the area and marine life. We would definitely recommend this to others. We was three manatees and a dolphin during our trip.

Great tour guide but a little low key if you are looking for active kayaking. Great for beginners and families with kids but teens will be bored. Nice wildlife and beautiful area - unfortunately we did not see any dolphins (10am tour).

Ethan is a fantastic guide. Super knowledgeable. Kayak trip was interesting and fun. Some nice birds and I spotted a dolphin. I am still waiting to see my first manatee in the wild. 😜 Good times!

Took the 2 hour tour and it was casual and great! Saw dolphins within 1 minute of being on the water!

Had a great Kayak tour. Charlie was a great guide, pointing out many interesting things along the way. And he answered all the questions the grandkids had. He even took a couple pictures of us.

What a beautiful day we had out on the water with our knowledge and fun guide! I am so thankful we decided to add this to our itinerary!

We went on a guided kayaking trip to Wambaw Creek; one of the Blackwater creeks in the Francis Marion National Forest. Fascinating! The guide met us ay the appointed time and location, the equipment was excellent, and his instructions to novice paddlers was patient and clear. Children above about 10 can do this in a tandem 2 seat kayak with an adult. We had a great time and the guide was superb.

I opted for the early morning 2 hour paddle - 8am. GREAT choice!!! It wasn't so hot yet and the traffic in Shem Creek was light. Our guide was fantastic, she gave great information and answered all our questions. We were fortunate enough to see dolphins right around us, watched an Osprey eat breakfast and saw many other birds. I'm an experienced kayaker so the pace was too slow for me -- I would have liked to cover more ground.

Had a fabulous time! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area! Saw lots of wildlife, will definitely do again!

My husband and I did this adventure as something to mark off of the bucket list. We were AWFUL at kayaking but Jim was very patient with us. We did the two-person tandem that took lots of team work. We will definitely be returning to try it on a single person kayak. It was a great way to end our vacation. Also, we did the sunset tour. It was hot and tiring but great view.

Nature Adventures ROCKS! Can't say enough good things about the 2-hour kayak tour. My son and I were first time kayakers and the guide (and the group) were so patient with us. Our guide (Merrill) was very knowledgeable and friendly and made for a great time. I even had one cancel out on me and had to rebook a tandem into a single upon arrival and was credited the difference without even asking! Fantastic business!!!

I would honestly recommend nature adventures over and over. They are absolutely amazing from booking all the way to the end of the trip. We will use them again for sure. Our guide was absolutely amazing and someone in our group canceled very last minute and no one else could go, she was nice enough to hop in a kayak with my daughter who has never done this before, she taught her how and didn’t mind at all. She has so much information to share while on our trip. I don’t think you’d get this type of service anywhere else!!!!

Unfortunately there was a really high tide the day we rented SUPs, but we absolutely loved our guide, Kent. Cute area with several bars/restaurants within walking distance. VERY reasonably priced. Recommend happy hour at the Shem Creek Inn.
