We rented our equipment there for a buddies bachelor party. The people were very nice and accommodating. Parking can be a pain if it’s busy at the adjacent restaurants tho.

Pulled in to parking lot and got a spot in the free spaces right away. If I had to pay it would have been fine too, it’s tourism what do you expect. Went up to counter booked 2 kayaks with within a few minutes. Quick bs safety rundown and shown a map of the area and we headed down to launch. Only small complaint I have is here where I wanted to be in the more spacious kayak but mine was a little tight as they put my girlfriend the more spacious one which was understandable. Cool spot to launch with boats and restaurants along the creek. Headed out to the inner coastal, saw dolphins in between the piers and island just as they said. On the way back we saw a manatee which I guess is rare so that was pretty cool. Headed the other way down the creek however not much to see there. Overall nice streamlined experience and it was nice to rent kayaks and not have to follow a tour guide. Would definitely recommend

This is a good location to access either going out the mouth of Shem creek or heading up the creek to explore the marsh adjacent to I appreciated the good information on tides and the ways tides would impact our time on the water. Thanks!

I had the BEST day !!! Starting with Natures Adventure on Shem Creek ! Employees were all super nice !! Kayaking to the island to find shark teeth , watching the dolphins play around our kayak within arms reach was amazing let alone the views of Charlston !! Thank you so much !! I will be back ❤️❤️🩷🩷

I had such a good time going out on the Thursday night social! I am new to CHS and this was a great way to meet people and feel safe in the water. I’ve usually paddled on lakes in the mountains so having these Low Country guides was invaluable to navigate Shem Creek, the tides, and see the sunset!

We went kayaking through Nature Adventures Outfitters and it was wonderful- one of the best kayaking experienes that I have had. You are allowed out on the water for up to 4 hours...we stayed out for about 3.5 and it was great. They provide you with a map to take out on the water with different routes you can take. The way my boyfriend and I took allowed us to get up close and personal with multiple dolphins...so neat! Out on the river is a little rough going upstream but taking the path down the creek is peaceful and romantic. It was only $24/ person to rent a tandum kayak which isn't bad at all. The boys working Nature Adventures Outfitters were very friendly even let us use their sunscreen since we forgot ours (oops). I highly recommend to anyone visiting the Charleston/ Mt. Pleasant area.

My sister and I spent the weekend in Mt Pleasant SC and decided to try kayaking. It was an awesome experience! The staff was very helpful and we were on the water for 4 hours. We saw dolphins swimming in the water near us and just enjoyed the scenery on Shem Creek. If you are adventurous and enjoy being outdoors I strongly recommend renting a kayak from Nature Adventure Outfitters.

All of the staff was so nice and helpful! I have never kayaked before, and they took their time to reassure me it would be fun and how to be safe. They were all excited for me when I got back in from the water. Great people and great experience! We were so close to dolphins too, it was awesome!

You can kayak next to pods of dolphins. I don’t know how to sell you more on this.

My husband and I went, He has been kayaking, this was my 1st time. It was fabulous! Everyone there was super friendly and made it easy for me to understand! Best Anniversary day! Will definitely be back!

It was one of the most fun days I have ever had! The creek is beautiful with dolphins swimming right next to you. The staff did a great job with explaining instructions and encouraging safety. Great price! Will definitely be returning for another day on the water.

It was the first time Kayaking and it was a great experience, got to see dolphins up close.

I rented a kayak and paddled to Crab bank island to look foe sharks teeth. The rental was easy and all the staff were pleasant! Good luck Will on your next adventure! Highly recommend taking a day to paddle with Nature Adventures!
