Relaxed pace. Knowledgable and friendly tour guide. Saw several dolphins - in close proximity to the kayak. Highly recommend.

The knowledge the staff has amazing. Our guide Matt the knowledge he had he must have a degree in marine biology. He knew all the bird but pointed out little crabs and explained that the male have 1 large claw using it for the mating. It was only on our way back did the dolphins appear we saw one by the outer bank area we were at and two in the inlet. We sat for a good 20 minutes watching as they fed on what was thrown off from the fishing boats.

The operation runs smoothly and our guide was congenial. It was a very relaxed trip due to weather and tides. We are experienced kayakers and would have preferred a faster pace and longer distance trip.

Even though it rained beforehand, it was worth the wait. And rain made the dolphins more active. Bryson was an awesome guide. It was a first for a friend an me and so much fun! Will definitely return!

Went there with my softball team after practice one day and it was just what we needed! Guides were awesome and we got to play fun games!! Bonus- we saw a dolphin!

Matt was a great guide for our guided tour. This is a great option for paddlers wanting to see a bit of the When Creek area. Easy water access and no fuss putting in and taking out. Highly recommend this business!

We did the 2 hour kayak Shem creek guided tour. We had Ben as a guide. It was a little more adventurous then I anticipated. But me being a beginner I was still able to do it.

We had an AMAZING time during our guided kayak tour! We were able to kayak with ease and saw lots of great sights including dolphins, herons, marsh wrens and egrets. Matt and Brighid were so friendly and easy going. Matt’s knowledge of the marine life was vast and his appreciation and enthusiasm for the environment he calls home was contagious. He was able to answer all of our questions, and with two teachers along for the ride, there were plenty! Brighid took lots of great photos and shared them all with us, including tips on other places to see during our vacation. Thanks again for a wonderful time!

This tour was fantastic- one of the highlights of our Charleston trip! It was 2 hours long, which was the perfect amount of time to be out on the creek kayaking. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the wildlife, particularly the local birds. Highly recommend!

We booked a kayak tour with Nature Adventures and were very pleased ! Our guide was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and made the experience fun for us adults and the kids. Saw lots of dolphins !!! I would highly recommend.

We took the 8am kayak tour with Ben as our guide. We went up shem creek to look at the live oak trees and spot some of the birds like blue herons, brown pelicans and some others. Since our kids were not paddling, they were given a scavenger hunt with pictures of birds, trees and animals to look for. It kept them busy and involved. We were on the tour the day before the supermoon so at high tide, the tide was extreme. Ben made kayaking for the first time an easy and enjoyable experience. We then turned around and went down to the end of the creek. We decided not to go all the way around d the little island so we made a stop on a bed of oyster shells. Ben told us a lot about the history of Charleston. On our way back, we saw dolphins that were close enough to touch and one was with a baby! I recommend going early if you dont want big crowds. We were the only ones with Ben on our tour and got to go wherever we wanted. The 10 am tours were much busier with paddleboards and kayaks. We will definitely come back next summer! Loved it!

My girlfriend and I took this tour on a lark. Our guide was great...nice, informative, and provided great tutorials along the way around kayaking.

We absolutely enjoyed everything about our experience!! We missed the deadline for booking and Dana was so kind as to find us a slot that would accommodate all 6 of us. We then had a cancellation of 1 in our group last minute and the guide was amazing enough to share a kayak with our daughter. The whole experience all the way around was amazing and we all enjoyed and will definitely use again and try out some of the other adventures they have to offer.

The Guides are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. So much information about local wildlife and the ecosystem. They are provided some great tips on other places on Shem Creek to check out when I added a 4 hour rental at a the end of their 2 hour tour. Sticking around was worth it... Got to see dolphins. I would highly recommend booking a tour with these guys.

I did the evening tour with my wife and we both really enjoyed it. Our guide was a marine biologist so he was able to provide information about the surroundings and the wildlife throughout the trip. We paddled all through Shem Creek, along the commercial and residential areas. The ride was peaceful and fun and 2 hours was just the right amount of time. We saw lots of dolphins and wildlife, as well as beautiful scenery. Highly recommend this tour operator and the guided tour.

Have used Nature Adventures twice. 1st time paddling by our own and 2nd time together with their guide. Worked well both times. Friendly staff and easy and quick support getting in/out of kayak. Very knowledgeable guide. Good experience and fun activity!

We were part of a small group going out on a beautiful warm May morning. Our guide was 100% capable, friendly, and a good coach. But this is a pleasantly low-stakes adventure, nothing too intense. You paddle past some docks, watch a shrimp boat cast its net, check out the pelicans swooping and scooping the water, and then take a nice slow meandering trip through some backwater marshland. Really lovely. Just wear your sunscreen and don't be in a hurry! Great time for anyone who's willing to get out on the water.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was cool kayaking under the trees and learning how the ecosystem in the creek works. Very relaxing and got to see dolphins along the way too!
