We kayaked and loved looking at the wildlife, our tour guide was super, and we even saw dolphins! Not too challenging- can be graded for your level of participation. Don’t be scared off thinking it’ll be too challenging

Highly recommend the 2-hour kayak tour! We learned so much about the wildlife and history of the Charleston/Mt. Pleasant area from our guide Matt. Although we missed the dolphins, there was tons of bird activity and even a few manatees! We took a Saturday morning tour and the water was pretty calm with a few boats passing by. By the time we returned at noon there was some more boat traffic, but Matt did a great job navigating the group.

Loved our tour with Matthew; he was very knowledgeable about the area. He shared his passion for the water with us and was an awesome guide!

My wife and I did a two hour kayaking trip and it was definitely a highlight for my vacation in Charleston. We had a great group and guide Jim who was extremely knowledgeable with the history and animal life. We were fortunate to see a number of dolphins and manatees and birds and a sea turtle all up close. Very relaxing and fun for groups or couples. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great day on the water.

Our tour guide, Blaine, was great. I learned a lot about the area and it was a nice, leisurely paddle along the creek.

I had kayaked on a small pond for less than a half hour so knew I wanted to "really" kayak. I called Sunday morning and they had a 2:00 tour. My 67 year old mom and I drove from Columbia and had the best time ever! We are both recently active but were concerned about ability and frankly, snakes. We were so assured when I called that neither would be a problem that we took the plunge! Fortunately, we never plunged literally, were more than comfortable with the physical requirements and even going up the creek were not afraid. Our guide was knowledgable and interesting, made us feel very safe but wasn't controlly, felt like we were out with friends. Highly recommend this company and the Shem Creek 2 hour tour! Will be back, often!

Makin’ memories is my mantra and Nature Adventures on Shem Creek must consider it theirs, too. I secured a two-hour guided excursion for our family. Our guide, Ben, was stellar. We learned, laughed, and left ready to book with them again.

We went kayaking with them this morning. Our guide Elizabeth was very personable and shared a lot of good knowledge about the creeks history. We were in a group of 7 which made me feel a lot more comfortable since I've never been kayaking. Overall we had a great time!

My group of 3 had an amazing time kayaking up Shem Creek with Dan, our guide. His knowledge of the biology of the area combined with his genuine passion for it made it a spectacular day out. As novice kayakers, the pace was nice and slow and the 2 hour tour flew by. I would highly recommend this place, and perhaps you'll see Michael, the resident dolphin in Shem Creek!

Had a wonderful time kayaking in Charleston with my family. Our Nature Adventures guide was very familiar with the area and knew exactly how to get us views of the local wildlife. Seeing dolphins up close was definitely the highlight of the trip.

Had a great time kayaking! Charlie was informative and entertaining as well. Highly recommend. Some of us had never kayaked and it was easy.

Ben and his crew took such amazing care of us and our group of 30+ in our business on our kayaking tour! We had many first-time kayakers and even some non-swimmers who felt safe with the guides' instruction and assurance. They even included some team-building games for us! We will definitely be using them again!

I went paddle with Wandos Adventure Club at Nature Adventures on Shem Creek. The guides were awesome and the whole experience was so fun. It was really pretty out and perfect weather!

We had two great kayaking trips with them. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend this for novices and experts alike. In the harbor we saw herons, egrets, commorants and dolphins. In the black water creek, we saw herons, turtles and alligators.

We had a group of 5 do the Shem Creek kayak tour at 2pm. Our tour guide, Kathy, was very knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and even had fun little facts about Charleston. She was super nice and really seemed to enjoy giving the tour. We saw dolphins, crabs and plenty of birds. Some in our group felt that 2 hours was a little too long just because of the blazing sun at 2 in the afternoon. Overall super great experience and definitely would recommend adding this to your to do list while in Charleston.

Took our 2 kids (13 and 11 yrs old) on a 2 hour kayak tour. Matt was our guide and he was amazing. Was a terrific tour and Matt was extremely knowledgeable about sea life, birds, history, etc. We even saw many dolphins!!!! The staff at Nature Adventures were also extremely courteous and kind. Highly recommend this tour.

It’s such a relaxing activity I should have tried kayaking much sooner! Guide John made it very easy and pleasant for everyone by providing detailed instructions for all the first-timers (including me) and telling us about all the fauna and flora as we saw many species on our tour. We went out at 6pm and came back just after 8pm, and paddling for the two hours was not hard at all (I was worried it would be). I can definitely recommed it to everyone who is looking to have a relaxing time! Keep in mind, if you’re looking to see the dolphins you should take an earlier tour - ask the super kind staff for details.

This was a great experience! Ethan was our guide and he did a great job sharing facts about the area and the marine life. My husband and I left learning a lot. The kayaking trip is beautiful and gives you a good viewpoint of Shem Creek. You're likely to see dolphins too!

Learned lots from Craig. Great guide. I had my 14 year old niece, first time kayaking for her. We had dolphins right beside us. Lots of birds. Loved the brown pelican rookery. We beached combed and streatched our legs about half way throw trip. Bring a soft sided cooler, it's easier to store in kayak. Sunscreen and hat, sunglasses a must!

Did the three hour kayak tour with Ed. Paddled up the Shem Creek seeing different birds and wildlife. Ed is very knowledgable about the area and the wildlife in the area. Drifted back downstream to the mouth of the harbor. Had three dolphins surface right near our kayaks! Company is a convenient location to Charleston, Mount Pleasant area. Would definitely recommend them and will plan to use them again.

First time kayaking with the whole family. Our guide did a super job getting us ready. The kids had a blast and we saw and learned so much while just enjoying ourselves.

We had a lovely time on the Picnic and Paddle trip with our guide, Matt. He was very knowledgeable of not only the Charleston area and marine life, but also the area history, the ecosystem, paddling, and college football!
