Chose the 2:00 afternoon tour on Wambaw Creek.....excellent choice. John was a fantastic tour guide, pointing out many sites, creatures and nature while meandering on the black water creek. We were mesmerized by the reflections of the 1500 year old Cypress trees. We saw alligators, birds, vegetation, and yellow slick belly turtles while floating in the serene quietness of nature. We highly recommend this tour and would do it agin.

Myself and my partner enjoyed a really chilled out 2 hour tour with Caroline who was extremely knowledgable on the local ecosystem, took photos of us and helped us find shark teeth. Shem Creek is an amazing place and this was the best way to see it and an added bonus was sharing it with a dolphin.

We had a great experience on our kayak tour. Our guide Clayton was so knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend for families. Everyone on our group loved something about our adventure!

This was a beautiful experience kayaking on Shem Creek. Our guide Charlie was informative, pointing out wildlife, plants, and landmarks throughout the tour while providing insightful historical information. I would highly recommend a kayaking trip to explore Shem Creek-it's also great for beginners!

Our 2 hr Full Moon Shem Creek Tour was wonderful. We saw an amazing sunset and a beautiful moon rise. The guide was very knowledgeable about the area and was full of interesting wildlife facts. Highly recommend!

I LOVE these guys. I go to Charleston at least twice a year and try to kayak with them on every trip. They always are so customer-friendly and go to great lengths to ensure everyone has a safe and very enjoyable kayak trip. They have so many places to take kayakers that are absolutely beautiful and filled with historical meaning. So, I strongly recommend a trip with Nature Adventures the next time your in Charleston. I guarantee you will love it!!!

Our guide ( Charlie ) was terrific - funny , knowledgeable and pleasant company for the five of us. My daughter gave me a very hard time about leaving only a 16.25 % tip - so Charlie - I will make up for it when I do the Francis Marion guided tour. ( please send any other info ). Also - the shore crew were good people. Thanks again.

Fantastic day trip. Went on the 2 hour Schem Creek tour and had an amazing time. The guide was very knowledge and engaging. I would recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors, and wants to see local wildlife.

I really loved our tour of the blackwater swamp outside of Charleston. If you are driving from Wilmington, it's the perfect thing to do on the way out of the city while driving back north. Our tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, and made the trip both fun and informative. She told us all about the ecosystem, history of the area, and pointed out many animals I never would have noticed otherwise. We also got to see a gator, which was awesome! I've only been kayaking a few times, but her instructions made the trip easy and enjoyable. I would highly recommend doing a tour through this company.

My boyfriend and I returned to Charleston to stay with my mom and ride our covid. After almost 3 months here we were thrilled to see activities opening up and were so excited to kayak Shem creek. Our guide, Dan, was AMAZING. He’s a marine biologist and so friendly and just an all around great guy. We had a fantastic two hour tour - filled with dolphins and beautiful weather and lots of questions for dan - which he answered with ease and pleasure. We are actually already thinking about booking another tour with dan because we enjoyed the day and his vast knowledge of the creek and ecosystem so much. Thank you!!!

Took the family on a kayak tour ours of Shem Creek near Charleston, SC. We has a great time kayaking alongside dolphins and cranes and other birds. Our guide was great (Haven). Definitely a fun activity.

Our guide was full of information...both historical and about the wildlife...along our Shem Creek kayak trip. We saw alligators, snakes, owls - our guide seemed to have a good knack at knowing when to be quiet and let us enjoy the nature, but also how to help us discover the beauty along the creek!

Booked onto the 2 hour group tour - ended up just being myself and my 12 year old daughter on the tour (so great value). MacKenzie was our guide and she was great, very friendly and knowledgable. Little bit delayed starting off on our tour due a thunderstorm above but Nature Adventures were great at keeping us informed. We both really enjoyed the tour on Shem Creek. We headed out to the bird sanctuary/island just out of the creek first and saw lots of wildlife, birds, an egret nest, dolphin. Heavens opened and we headed up the the river then. Mackenzie was great - telling my daughter all about the local area and wildlife. Plus she really enjoyed talking to her about Marine Biology. Would highly recommend.

A great day playing “tourist in our own town” kayaking on Shem Creek and the Charleston Harbor. Matt (our guide) was very knowledgeable on the area which made it even more enjoyable

This tour was amazing! I went with 2 other friends, one is a history buff & the other just likes to go with the flow. It was a great activity for us, as we learned history facts along the way & even got to see parts where Outer Banks was filmed!
