We had an amazing time at a CSR with Nature Adventures. Loved our time helping the community and getting close with all the volunteers.

My brother and I did the 2 hr tour of Shem Creek and Crab Bank Island. Our guide, Steven, was knowledgeable and friendly as well as laid back- we appreciated the moments of silence. His expertise around the Civil War was perfect for seeing Ft Moultrie and Sumter from the water. The tour company gives excellent directions and helps along the way. Our kayaks were a great fit- by brother is tall and had no issues. This is a great option for new kayakers or people just wanting to see some sights.

We did an early morning ride (singles and a tandem) on Shem Creek with Braxton. Unfortunately, White caps kept us out of the harbor but gliding along the creek was gorgeous and peaceful. Braxton was friendly and collegial with us, which we really appreciated. We were disappointed not to see dolphin but did see some beautiful sea birds. Two hours was just enough and not too hot at 8:00. We will definitely go again!

Ben was a great tour guide for our 2-hour kayak trip. We had a great, relaxing time kayaking along Shem Creek and learning everything from ecology and biology to history and interesting anecdotes about the area.

My husband and I found this group while walking around the SEWE tents one day and decided to try to get a 2 hour trip. It was quite fun. We went out into Shem Creek and around the area -- got out for a few minutes on a sand bar looking for shells and shark teeth. Was a nice break on a beautiful day.

Matt was an excellent tour guide. Would recommend to all.

Nice paddling. Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable. Had a great time. And the restaurants/ bars in the Shem Creek area are also very nice. Cool area.

Ethan was a great guide! Very friendly and organized. We had a bit of unexpected wind and boat traffic on the day of that made for choppy conditions out on the water, but that wasn’t the tour company’s fault. Some of the other folks on the tour were unhappy but I’m here to say that it wasn’t the fault of our guide Ethan nor did the broader group have a bad experience.

We had an awesome time with our guide (Tillman) and look forward to our next trip out on Shem Creek. Unfortunately, we had to cut our tour short to 2 hours instead of 3 because people in our group couldn't take the heat - but in the fall, we hope to come back out for the longer trip. Well run company- worth every penny.

Well run, knowledgeable two-hour tour by kayak. You launch into a waterway where dolphins are frequently seen. You then tour through marsh grasses, seeing a variety of birds. Sometimes the trip is able to go by Crab ISland, but not always, depending on wind and currents--if this is important to you, ask before you book.

Our Kayak tour with Grace was wonderful! It was slightly more challenging than the Utah lakes I’m use to 😎 but Grace was patient and informative. I highly recommend this tour!

The wind was up and the tide was up. Such conditions compelled us to spend most of the time exploring the marsh area of Patriots Point. Matt taught me a lot about this environment and gave me a much better appreciation of how it functions and its importance to wildlife. Great tour!

The Shem Creek Kayak tour was a highlight of our trip! We booked a group tour, but nobody else has booked so it turned into a private tour! The staff was extremely friendly and patient as this was our first time kayaking. Ben was a great guide and we got some awesome shots! Great opportunity to see wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, and various birds. Definitely recommend!

We did the 2 hour sunset sup paddle with Ben. He was personable snd knowledgeable about history, plants and animals of the area. He got us safely across the river and up through the marsh. Also helpful suggestions on where to eat after the paddle. Thoroughly enjoyed our adventure!

A friend and I opted for a Thanksgiving three hour swamp kayak with John- our guide from Nature Adventures Outfitters- versus the more traditional approach to the day. What an amazing experience- the Wambaw Creek wilderness is a swamp- beautiful, vast, still, full of life. John was an expert guide providing all types of information on the delicate ecosystem that exists in the swamp...anyone will enjoy this experience. We were the only ones paddling along this creek. Birds and other wildlife were visible throughout the entire trip.

We took a 3-hour guided tour of Wambaw Creek with guide Bryson, and had a great time experiencing the unique ecosystem of the blackwater swamp. It was just our family (2 adults & 2 kids aged 9 & 11) in two tandem kayaks, and our guide, so we were able to have a personal tour at our own pace. Except for one moment at put-in, we did not see anyone else while we were out there. Learned a lot from Bryson, and enjoyed the peace of the river.

Had a great paddle with Ethan as our guide. He was very personable and extremely knowledgeable. It was like having our own personal marine biologist. Because he is one!! He definitely went above and beyond and we had a very enjoyable paddle through the back water channels.

We went on a guided kayaking trip to Wambaw Creek; one of the Blackwater creeks in the Francis Marion National Forest. Fascinating! The guide met us ay the appointed time and location, the equipment was excellent, and his instructions to novice paddlers was patient and clear. Children above about 10 can do this in a tandem 2 seat kayak with an adult. We had a great time and the guide was superb.

Incredible way to celebrate a birthday gliding thru the beautiful waters around Charleston! We saw dolphins, pink spoon bills, egrets, stingrays, oyster catchers, sea turtle and terrapins! Nature Adventures ROCKS! Can't say enough good things about the 2-hour kayak tour. My son and I were first time kayakers and the guide (and the group) were so patient with us. Our guide (Merrill) was very knowledgeable and friendly and made for a great time. I even had one cancel out on me and had to rebook a tandem into a single upon arrival and was credited the difference without even asking! Fantastic business!!!

Our family of four had a wonderful time on the two hour tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable - our 7 and 9 year olds really enjoyed it - especially when the dolphins came right by our kayaks.

Steve was such an amazing tour guide! As a local who has never been kayaking Steve was very informative and I felt confident and safe. Will definitely be back!

I had no idea we would be paddling out to Crab Bank rookery in Charleston harbor. I felt like I was in a PBS nature show with literally hundreds of birds flying and landing around us. It was amazing. Who knew that baby pelicans were so adorable? On the way back to Shem Creek, we paddled alongside dolphins as they snacked next to a shrimp boat. Our guide was excellent, knowledgeable and patient. Can't wait to go back!
